To the outstanding team of workhorses, thank you for ALL that was accomplished the past two Saturdays. We dug, raked, and swept St. Philip Neri's grounds with enough yard debris to fill a dumpster, repaired the tree-damaged fence at the convent, moved old furniture from parish offices to the rectory basement, polished the office kitchen and appliances---while enduring 90 degree weather.
As a bonus, a non-parishioner volunteered to reconfigure the bathrooms for parish staff and students attending the new French School and did not charge for his labor on this project. He has requested your prayers, so do pray for him. Unexpectedly, a parishioner volunteered to donate materials and crew for repairs to the back stairwell of the old church that was damaged by mold. We are grateful for this generosity.
We, the Building and Grounds Committee, thank all our volunteers again for time and labor to beautify our church property. Some photos from the work party will soon be posted on the website, www.stphilipneripdx.org.
