The Altar Society is open to all women of our parish. Our monthly meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month (September - May) from 1pm-2pm in Carvlin Hall. We pray the Rosary together, discuss our projects, and enjoy sharing a desert.

Our goals as a society are:
1) To honor Mary as the Mother of Christ by prayer and imitation in our daily lives.

2) Serve in the weekly ministry of providing for the Sanctuary needs of the church: replacing candles, cleaning candle holders, dusting altars, refilling of the Holy Water fonts, arranging the pew pamphlets. This service is usually done on a Friday or Saturday by rotating teams.

3) Our funds are used to supply the needs of the Altar (candles, linens, hosts, wine, cleaning of vestments.)

4)Organize two fundraisers to assist in stewardship: October Holiday Bazaar and February Stuffed Rigatoni Luncheon.

5 ) As a Corporal Work of Mercy we also help with receptions after funerals when asked.

Our dues are $5.00 a year. If you are interested in joining, whether you can attend the meetings regularly or not, please contact Dolly Lomax.
