This is an oriental system of exercise which is practiced for its health and meditative benefits. The exercise involves learning a sequence of slow, smooth, flowing movements which are based on the circular rhythms of nature. The Chinese say that whoever practices Tai Chi regularly will gain "the pliability of a child, the health of a lumberjack and the peace of mind of a sage." Everyone is welcome to participate on Saturday mornings from 8:30 until 10:00 AM at the Paulist Center.
