Pastoral Corner | January 19, 2020
Greetings! This weekend begins the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This is not to imply that we are hoping for ‘one-big-church’ but instead — that for all Christians to look for our similarities and how we can work together to share in the teachings of Jesus Christ. Keeping the Church Tidy | Volunteer Opportunity
While the Altar Society coordinates the weekly cleaning of the church, anyone can help. The work is light dusting, restocking burnt out candles, washing and filling holy water bowls, and straightening pews. No vacuuming or heavy lifting and it takes about an hour, approximately 4 times a year. Teams of two people work together so this would be a great opportunity to work with a friend or spouse and would benefit the parish. If you are interested or have further questions, please contact Marie Tedesco, 503-233-1839 or the parish office at 503-231-4955.
