Are You Called to Serve? | Ministry Opportunities
If you are looking for a way to help serve in the parish, please consider becoming a volunteer Reader, Eucharistic Minister, or Welcome Minister. Training will be provided September 21 for Saturday Vigil Liturgies and Sunday, Sept. 22 for those who want to serve on Sundays. Most people serve once a month. Consider Altar Society Membership
As fall approaches the Altar Society of St Philip Neri is looking for women who wish to become part of a rewarding group of dedicated members who honor and strive to imitate our Blessed Virgin Mary. The mission of our society is to aid and promote religious and social activities. In addition, our fundraising efforts have paid for needed repairs along with providing essential supplies such as candles, altar linens, hosts, wine, and vestments. Keeping the Church Tidy | Volunteer Opportunity
While the Altar Society coordinates the weekly cleaning of the church, anyone can help. The work is light dusting, restocking burnt out candles, washing and filling holy water bowls, and straightening pews. No vacuuming or heavy lifting and it takes about an hour, approximately 4 times a year. Teams of two people work together so this would be a great opportunity to work with a friend or spouse and would benefit the parish.
