The Peace & Justice Commission encourages parishioners to join them in learning more about racism and privilege. They have developed a list of movies, podcasts, and books that help give an introduction to understanding these issues. Parishioner Sarah Peroutka is connecting individuals with others to form small groups that will watch or read the titles they're interested in from the list and then discuss what they've learned. For those with computer and technology skills, the discussions could occur online in Zoom meetings. For others who don't have technology skills, people can communicate through email or telephone calls. Sarah will help people discover what works for them. And even if you don't want to participate in a discussion group, you're still invited to read or watch what we've selected and think about it on your own.
